From the reviews:

Doody's Review Service, April 2006: "... This book is a valuable atlas on maxillofacial imaging, both for the radiologist and the dentist. Weighted Numerical Score: 100 - 5 Stars!"

"The role of modern CT and MR imaging is the primary focus of this book. … This image quality of the clinical photographs, schematic drawings, and surgical, autopsy, and histological specimens is good to excellent in this book. Very new references are also included. … The overall impression of this book is very good. If you need a high-quality of maxillofacial imaging with condensed text, buy this book!" (Tapani Tikkakoski, Acta Radiologica, March/April, 2007)

"This book is intended to be an ‘atlas’ to target not only radiologists but also head and neck and maxillofacial surgeons, otolaryngologists, and other physicians who may encounter these clinical conditions in their daily practice. … The illustrations are a major component of the book and are almost uniformly excellent. … The authors are encouraged to use this book as a foundation for future editions of a more formal textbook on maxillofacial imaging. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in maxillofacial radiology." (American Journal of Neuroradiology, November-December, 2007)

Product Description

Maxillofacial imaging has evolved dramatically over the past two decades with development of new cross-sectional imaging techniques. Traditional maxillofacial imaging was based on plain films and dental imaging. However, today’s advanced imaging techniques with CT and MRI have only been partially implemented for maxillofacial questions. This book bridges the gap between traditional maxillofacial imaging and advanced medical imaging. We have applied CT and MRI to a variety of maxillofacial cases and these are illustrated with high-quality images and multiple planes. A comprehensive chapter on imaging anatomy is also included. This book is useful for oral and maxillofacial radiologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, dentists, radiologists, plastic surgeons, head and neck surgeons, and others that work with severe maxillofacial disorders.
